I’m Cherie Ve Ard, and I’ve been selling and buying items on sites like eBay for many years. In early 2007, I did the most massive purging of my physical possessions of my life as I prepared to scale my life down from a 1600 sq ft home into a 50 sq ft travel trailer.  I spent 7 months road tripping across the US.

I discovered lots of things  in my travels, and one of them was that most people were pretty envious that I had been able to purge my stuff so easily. So, I offered many of my hosts my perspectives and helped them get rid of books, DVDs, old technology gadgets, music albums and more—helping them regain valuable space, mental sanity and netted them money for their stuff.

Unfortunately, I’ve been unable to be out on the road full time because I’ve been unable to sell my home due to the slow (dead) housing market in Florida.   So, I thought I’d see if I can turn my talent for helping people get a handle on their clutter as a side business.

I come from a high tech background, have earned high seller marks on the sites I use to sell merchandise and know how to take great photos, write honest and engaging ads that net maximum sales prices for stuff people thought was just junk taking up space.  And, I actually enjoy a process that a lot of folks find overwhelming.

This is me taking a daily load of items to the post office to be shipped to happy buyers of my client’s ‘junk’.  This day’s load netted over $150 for my client.

I’m also very environmentally aware—I drive a Prius hybrid to reduce emissions and conserve gas, and try to reuse packing materials whenever possible in my shipping.  This site is also hosted on a certified ‘green’ server, and the laptop I used to develop this page normally runs off solar power.
